Asteroids models
Asteroids groups graphics

The Asteroids menu, NEAS, Trojans and Centaurs graphics, represent in scale the average distance to the Sun for each group. The Asteroids belt graphic represent in scale the orbits of the 4 mentioned asteroids, including the maximum and minimum distances to the Sun, orbital inclination and eccentricity. The objects, of course, are not in scale in all graphics.

Comparative
The comparative graphic show in scale the 6 represented objects.

Artist’s representation

This model shows imaginarily a 39 asteroids group accompanying to a main asteroid in the Asteroids Belt.
Their dimensions go from 4.5 km (main asteroid) to 0.8 km of diameter.
They occupy an area of 144,000 km2 on the ecliptic plane, whit a fictitious density of 1 asteroid per 2.77 km2.
They travel in real time, a distance of 1,500 km to Eros's average speed (1,500 km/min.)
